Outage

From Island Energy’s perspective today’s outage was unacceptable. We have an aggressive plan to minimize these problems but sometimes we cannot upgrade our equipment of combat copper thieves fast enough.

Today’s problems were especially troublesome because they disrupted AT&T service for customers who did not lose power. AT&T was not able to get a backup generator onsite to maintain their service until shortly before power was restored. Obviously they would not have needed a backup generator if there was no electrical service disruption at their communications building.
