Potential Rotating Outages – Sep 04, 2022

Island Energy receives its energy supply over PG&E’s high voltage transmission system.

PG&E has advised that there is the potential for rotating power outages today, and perhaps additionally later this week, lasting from 1 – 2 hours due to a lack of energy supply as a result of the excessive heat circumstance in California.  This direction is given by by the “California Independent System Operator” (CAISO). This is outside the control of PG&E transmission managers and Island Energy.

Please take the necessary pre-emptive measures to prepare for and address the potential for rotating electrical outage events.
