On Sunday, April 24, 2022 Island Energy experienced an Island-wide outage lasting approximately an hour and 20 minutes. The cause of the outage was apparently due to a fault on PG&E’s “Line 2” transmission line. We dispatched our crew and switched service to the parallel “Line 1”. PG&E indicates the cause of the fault appears to be a mylar party balloon intercepting its transmission line.
